Those of you that know me know that I love the rain. I really do love a good rainy day. My daughter loves them too and gets kinda upset (understatement) when it doesn't make it over to our house. The day after she went back to school we had a whole day of thundering and lighting. Here's the problem with that...she was at school. Not happy that she wasn't home snuggling in her blankets and jommies. So, I love the rain...I think we need one more day of sunshine though and then get back to the rain. Once I see the sunshine and the HOT, MUGGY weather, I will want the rain again... I love the rain

I am still here and juicing every day! Still loving it too! Just checking in and will write more when I come up with something...:)
I'm down 20lbs finally!! Yay! Looks like I am losing about 3lbs a week. Good and slow!
I'm just sending out positive thoughts to the folks in the path of this HUGE hurricane. Please be safe and good to your neighbors. We will be thinking of you all!
This is the second week that there has been a celebration on Wednesday night. Last week my birthday dinner at a restaurant and this week another one for someone else. I have to say that it was really hard for me to break my good eating and try the not so good eating. Last week I paid for it in that I woke up with a bad case of vertigo. I don't think I was bad. I just couldn't do it to myself. I ate chicken and only half of it to begin with. I did try a dessert, but the strange thing was that I didn't like it. I only ate not even a quarter. The girls always like coffee at my house so I will have that for them. I am happy that I am strong enough to not have it, but it sure smells good! I have tried something called Teccino that is made with roasted nuts instead of coffee beans. Not too bad!
This week the girls came to my house this time for the celebration. We did fondue. I have a great recipe for the cheese fondue that I like to use. I couldn't resist that, but the beef and chicken was no appealing. I had NO beef. That is something, like the coffee, that I have a strong willpower with. I don't want to break that one. Not big on beef to begin with so why stir the pot... All in all I have done good so far. I would like to get more juice into my body. I am getting about 32 ounces a day as it is and lots of water. I can always try harder. I have lost 18lbs right now and am please to say I didn't gain from the "splurge" days. The bad part was I felt like crap after...lesson learned! Well I got my new dehydrator and I am thrilled! I got an Excalibur 9 Tray.. The first thing I made was kale chips with apple and cinnamon. Oh boy are they the bomb! I am doing my best to save these some I can share them with the girls on Wednesday night. Not sure that will be able to happen, but I am standing strong! I will be posting the recipe for those soon. I also made some fruit roll-ups. No picture for those because they are in my belly! These didn't look pretty at all, but they were yummy! I have a lot to learn with these, but I think that they will look better the next time because I won't be cooking them so long. My next goal is to make a bread or cracker. I will update you on that soon!!
Yesterday was a wonderful day. It didn't start out so good, but it got better through out the day. Unfortunately I woke up having vertigo. I think the reason for that is because the girls took me out for dinner last night and it was the first time that I have eaten sugar in 5 weeks. Live and learn. When I was able to shake it, Natalie took me to lunch at the raw food restaurant that I have been trying to get to. It was awesome!! They have the best kale chips. Big, dense and dull of flavor. Can't wait to go back.I got my dehydrator yesterday also. The girls and Phil got it for me a my present. I just finished making the kale chips. They are yummy, but I think I need a better recipe for them...baby steps.
My sweetheart got me some beautiful flowers. And Miss Abigail make me a Hoops and Yoyo card! She just saw them at the store for the first time yesterday and I guess she liked them! See the pictures of my treasures below! Thanks to everyone for the wishes and presents!! Heres to next year! ![]() Little Miss Thing started 2nd grade today. It was a great start for her! She had friends from last year and some new friends that just started. Abby likes her new teacher, Mrs. Kemper. I love the feeling of walking into a classroom and knowing that it's calm and with happy kids. No chaos like previous years at her old school. That was a nightmare! The first day went well. She only had half a day so tomorrow will be interesting. Maybe she will be calm enough to go to sleep tomorrow night! Some photos of the day...
Tomorrow Abby will start the 2nd grade. I can't believe how fast the summer went by. I say that now, but really it hasn't. It has been a fun time, but I need to find more activities for her to do while she is out of school. She loves to be in her pajammies all day long. She loves snuggling with me when there is a thunder storm. And it nice just to have her around. I will miss that time. I look back over her lifetime with us and wish I had not been so afraid when I first had her. I didn't want to leave the house with her because I was afraid something bad would happen to her and me. I remember the day after we brought her home Phil had to take her to the doctor to get a shot. I was going to stay home and get some sleep. I was all good with that until it came time for him to put her in the car and go. I was so worried, I got dressed REAL fast and headed out the door. Phil stopped me in my tracks and told me to go back inside and rest, everything was going to be OK. I did, but missed her the whole time. I wish during her first couple of years, that I had the friends that I do now. I didn't go anywhere for some time. Now my sweet one is 7 1/2. When people say that time fly's they aren't fooling around. It goes so fast it scares me. It feels like yesterday I taking her to her first day of pre-pre-k. Wow.... Tomorrow will be good. She is looking forward to starting back at school. Thankfully she loves it and will get a good education. Have fun my sweet one. 143
